Eco Friendly Green Air Conditioners
Would you like your air conditioning system to be environmentally friendly? Although most people need to have cooler air in the house, especially during the summer season, it is but equally important to conserve energy or to at least reduce pollutants in the surroundings. Today, no matter where you look, people are finding more and more ways to be as environmentally-friendly as possible. So, when you are considering making changes to your precious dwelling, why not consider a solar-powered air conditioner. While using the sun’s power to provide cool air into your home, you are also contributing to the fight against global warming. With this trend, companies will be developing more air conditioning systems that are as efficient as possible. A Spanish company have made their version of this new and efficient technology. They combined evacuated tube thermal collectors with a water-heated absorption chiller. The system absorbs solar-heated water and gives off cool air in return. Although, this system cannot cool a room during night time, but it can effectively cool a room on hot summer days without you having to use any electricity.

Eco- Friendly Air Conditioner
On the other hand, an American company invented a unit that runs on solar panels, a wall socket and even on batteries. Although it runs on coal, it can still be energy efficient because they use small photovoltaic solar cells and equip the unit with 18,000 BTU (British Thermal Unit). It operates at 500 watts, which is far less than what most units use. Another company created a system that is powered by a 170-watt solar panel and runs on a battery pack when the sun is not shining to make it work. This unit has a portable version that has wheels, so you can move them around the house and even bring it when travelling like on a yacht or an RV. Some of these units do not only cool those hot days, but they also provide space heating during the winter, as well as solar hot water throughout the year. An eco-friendly air conditioning system is not only friendly to the environment, but it is also friendly to your budget. If more of this technology is developed and is made affordable to ordinary folks, then everyone can have cooler and cleaner air to breathe for decades and even centuries to come.
